Hard Cover turns 25 in 2011!
Hard Cover: Voices and Visions of Chicago’s Youth is one of nation’s longest running TV shows created by youth for youth. The show is produced by interns who compiles our best work from over fourteen programs across the city to curate episodes about important issues that relate to young people’s lives.
The Hard Cover internship program provides critical leadership opportunities to CTVN youth who have shown commitment, passion, and potential. Hard Cover Interns not only model the core Hard Cover values and mission, but learn job skills in production, marketing, and administration that will assist them in future endeavors.
Hard Cover airs twice a week on Cable Access CANTV 19 on Mondays at 5PM and Tuesdays at 12:30 in Chicago and three times a week on Manhattan Neighborhood News Network’s youth channel in New York.
Hard Cover Youth Producers 2011
Chris Sapon has been with CTVN since 2010. We’ve been pleased to see Chris build his leadership potential, editing skills and maturity and responsibility. From his first class at CTVN to his current role as a Hard Cover Producer, he’s come a long way. Chris is a dependable and consistent worker, a devoted father and partner, a high school junior, an aspiring filmmaker, and a future radio producer. We’re proud to have him on our team.
Brittany Douglas has been an apprentice (three times), an advanced apprentice (three times) and a Hard Cover Producer (twice). She owns four computers, has more followers on her twitter than most mainstream press people and is a picture of professionalism and ambition. As a promoter, a role model and a filmmaker, Brittany has seriously got it going on. Brittany will be heading into the navy in the Spring after she graduates, where we will miss her very much.
