CTVN is always looking for new opportunities for youth, but we need your support! Here are some ways you can contribute to our cause:
Every dollar counts! Just to make this clear: ~$20 will buy a week’s supply of miniDV tapes ~$50 will feed pizza and snacks to our youth as a reward for good work ~$100 will get us new notebooks, pens, paper, clipboards, and a printing toner cartridge ~$500 will help pay for two youth to see their film play at a national film festival (see news on DIYDS!! film festival) ~>$1,000 can support Hard Cover or our other numerous programs that rely on generous financial support. All contributions are tax-deductible. Just click on the icon above and you will get a receipt, or mail checks to: Community TV Network, 2418 W. Bloomingdale Ave., Chicago, IL 60647.
Watch and share our videos
You can watch Hard Cover every Monday at 5:30pm and Tuesday at 12:30pm on cable channel CAN TV 19 in Chicago; Sundays on Manhattan Neighborhood Network’s Youth Channel (Time Warner channel 34 or RCN channel 83 in New York, check your local listings); or just go to Google Video. (Without the link, just search with quotes, “Community TV Network”). Share videos with others and let them know the kind of work we do!
Keep in touch Email ctvnchicago@yahoo.com to join our e-newsletter list. Let us know what you know! If there is a grant opportunity you know about or maybe a business that would like to support our organization, contact our Executive Director, Denise Zaccardi. We would appreciate any help or suggestions you have.
Volunteer
Ever wanted to work in TV production? What about helping youth? You can do both by volunteering to assist at one of our video production programs. Or, if you have a service that would help us in any way (publicity, marketing, press, etc.), please contact Executive Director Denise Zaccardi.
Sponsor us
If your company is interested in supporting arts, education, media, and/or low-income minority youth, become a corporate sponsor! Our TV show reaches over three million people nationwide! Your name can be associated with the premier youth media production organization in the country. We are also looking for sponsors for our Hard Cover 20th Anniversary event in April 2007. Let us know if you would like to help.
“CTVN has truly empowered Derell. The work he is doing at such a young age to bring exposure to positive community stories in the media demonstrates what has been instilled in him by working with your organization. His work has had a trickle-down effect in that other students become inspired to do media/film related work.” ~Catherine Lindskog, Guidance Counselor, Prosser Career Academy High School, Chicago Public School
